Community Outreach and External Relations

The Africana Studies Department believes in the spirit of Ubutu – I am because we are. To that end, faculty participate in a host of community outreach efforts including guest lectures at area schools. The department yearly hosts a Summer Scholars Academy for rising high school sophomores and juniors to expose them to college life with an emphasis on the field of Africana Studies.
