We host programs, symposiums, seminars and exhibits that bring people together to discuss issues, marvel at creativity, and understand our individual and collective roles in creating a healthy, vibrant, and engaged, community.

We are currently fundraising for our department’s Tillman Scholarship for Africana Studies. Named after our alumnus Thomas “Malik” Tillman, the scholarship will support students who exhibit academic excellence and a spirit of community service.
